Time flies everywhere, but the holiday season can really sneak up on us here in Florida. One of the things coming fast is Black Friday. While we appreciate those deals at the big box stores, we love our small businesses. While they may not be selling a new TV for $50, you can still find great Christmas gifts for your family and friends. These businesses are the backbone of our communities and when they do well, our communities do well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Captain Major Fishing Charters<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>This locally owned and operated charter service is one of our favorite businesses. Captain Sam Major is a 5th generation Tampa Bay local and knows the area well. You can choose from different charter options that include inshore\/nearshore waters surrounding Anna Maria Island, Tampa Bay, and the Gulf of Mexico. Captain Major also tailors each experience to the specific skill level and desire of each angler. We love this charter service and think you will too. <a href=\"https:\/\/captainmajorfishingcharters.com\/contact\/\">Visit their website<\/a> or call them at 813-731-5325.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Salty Buddha Paddle &amp; Yoga Company<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Another local company we love is Salty Buddha. They have a unique blend of Yoga and Paddleboarding at the center of their business. They offer yoga classes for all different levels and different types of yoga. In addition to the studio, they have classes on the beach and even on paddleboards. Aside from the yoga classes, Salty Buddha conducts both paddleboard training and classes, they have guided tours. Maybe someone on your list would love some relaxing yoga sessions for Christmas. Or maybe you need them after a family Thanksgiving. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.saltybuddhaco.com\/\">Check out their website<\/a> for more information.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Fun Florida Tours<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Gift certificates for fun things to do are often a good way to go. No worrying about size or color, just having fun. One unusual bit of fun can be found at Fun Florida Tours. The company does both kayak tours and Segway tours around Anna Maria Island. Part of the adventure with the kayak tours is their use of clear kayaks. You get to see all the marvelous things going on in the water just under you. If that isn\u2019t enough adventure, the company offers nighttime kayak tours. The clear kayaks are illuminated with LED lights and give you a chance to see the nocturnal habits of marine life. The Segway tour includes Bean Point and landmarks like Anna Maria City Pier, Anna Maria Island Jail and the Historical Museum along Pine Avenue. <a href=\"https:\/\/funfltours.com\/\">Visit their website<\/a> for more information.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Tintos Colombian Coffee Shop and Bakery<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>While you are out Black Friday shopping, coffee or some other treats may be in order. Colombia is synonymous with coffee and for good reason. Tintos serves premium Colombian coffee six days a week, along with authentic food and treats. Tintos carries lunch items, such as empanadas as well as desserts like flan. For non-coffee drinkers, there are smoothies and a local favorite, Agua de Pina (Pineapple water). Coffee shop patrons can be a fickle bunch, so when you see 5-star ratings on Yelp and Trip Advisor, you have to put it on your list to check out.
