Cortez Commercial Fishing Festival – February 15 & 16
According to their website, the Cortez Commercial Fishing Festival “celebrates our fishing heritage with a mix of great live music, nautical arts and crafts, children’s activities, environmental exhibits, delicious seafood, and, of course, cold beer! It’s a party with a purpose since ALL proceeds benefit the FISH mission and the FISH Preserve!” This festival is one that you will not want to miss.
Bradenton Area River Regatta – February 21 & 22
This year is the 10th anniversary of the Bradenton Area River Regatta. It all starts on Friday night with live entertainment and a drone and fireworks show that you are sure to remember. Did we mention that the whole event is free to attend? It doesn’t get any better than that! Things to check out at the Regatta include:

Murder Mystery at The Center – March 7 & 8
The annual Murder Mystery Play at The Center is always an entertaining time for adults! This local favorite will have you guess whodunnit as the night unfolds around you! All ticket sales go to support The Center and the AMI community directly.
Springfest Art Festival – March 8 & 9
Presented by The Island Art League, the Springfest Art Festival is one of the largest yearly festivals hosted on the island. This festival is a combination of people, education, entertainment, and food, where you can find amazing items, handcrafted and offered for sale by talented artists. “Springfest” brings talented artists and art lovers from near and far to our little barrier island.
St. Patrick’s Day Parade – March 16
Everyone loves a parade! And what better way to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day than with one of the island’s largest yearly parades?
Parade Time: 4:00 pm-6:00pm
Parade Route: Starting at Holmes Beach City Hall (5801 Marina Drive) Line up in Flotilla (Facing South) to 58th St to Marina Dr. to Palm Dr. to Gulf Dr. to Pine Ave. to Tarpon St. to Magnolia Ave. The parade will end at The Center of Anna Maria Island Community Center (407 Magnolia Ave.)
John Lodge – March 24
John Lodge, legendary bass player, songwriter, and vocalist of The Moody Blues, and Rock and Roll Hall of Famer, will be back on tour in February 2025 with a stop on Anna Maria Island. ! Following the critically acclaimed and sold-out shows last year, John is continuing in his celebration of ‘The Moody Blues’ music and the iconic album ‘Days of Future Passed’, and is delighted to be bringing his show to new audiences.



Bonus: Baseball Spring Training
Spring training is here, so grab some peanuts and Cracker Jacks and get ready to enjoy a preseason ballgame! Lecom Park serves as the spring training facility for the Pittsburgh Pirates, with games taking place every few days from February through March. Individual and Season tickets are available here.
