Vacation Home VS Hotel: Benefits & Advantages

| December 16, 2020

2020 has been the year of travel plan changes. You can hardly find someone that didn’t at least have a weekend getaway that was canceled due to the pandemic. There have been countless events, vacations, and work trips that have been affected as a result of nationwide safer-at-home orders and restricted travel.

As we are rounding out 2020 though, many travel restrictions have been lifted and many individuals and families have begun to reschedule their vacations.

With one change, that is: renting vacation homes!

More than ever, people are beginning to realize the genius of renting private vacation homes instead of staying at hotels. There are so many benefits and advantages. We simply want to highlight a few. Our goal is to inspire you to dream about the perfect vacation once again, and to help you realize that it isn’t out of reach; even throughout the ongoing pandemic.

Benefits and Advantages

Less Risk

Arguably the greatest advantage of choosing a vacation home over a hotel, is that there is less risk involved. Even now that travel is safer, it is still important to use caution and discretion in terms of managing risk. Staying in a private vacation home entails very minimal risk. Stay with only your family, and choose what amount of contact you have with other people. You could stay at a private beach house, have your groceries delivered, cook all your meals at home, and never leave the house if you wanted!

More Control

The amount of control you have over every aspect of your vacation is another great aspect of choosing a private vacation home rather than a hotel. At a hotel, certain things are simply out of control. You can’t choose which room you stay in, how you will be affected by other guests, the quality of customer service, or how crowded it will be.

At a vacation home, you choose exactly where you stay and what amenities you have access to. You choose how much connection you have with the outside world. There is no risk of sharing a wall with unruly neighbors, and you don’t have to take a gamble on customer service.

Easy Social-Distancing

With a private vacation home, you don’t have to worry about maintaining appropriate social-distancing. You choose who comes along on the trip and who doesn’t. Also, you can choose any excursions you might want to do or which restaurants you want to eat at. You can go out and about if you choose, or stay at the house the whole time. It’s as easy as that!

Privacy may just be the greatest benefit of renting a vacation home. You have the freedom to do whatever you want from the privacy of your own vacation home. Hotels are often crowded and busy, and you always seem to nearly be bumping into other people; sometimes quite literally. You also share amenities at a hotel, meaning there are always strangers at the pool or nearby at dinner. Vacation homes give you the privacy to truly disconnect and unwind.

Renting a vacation home is often a more cost-effective option versus staying at a hotel. You can prepare as many meals at home as you wish and save on eating out. You don’t have to pay extra for amenities or equipment. Vacation homes are usually fully stocked with beach towels, bicycles, pool floats, etc. that are included with your stay. You don’t even have to pay for parking! It’s more of an all-inclusive type feel versus being nickel-and-dimed for every little thing like you are at a hotel.

These are simply a few of the many benefits of choosing a vacation home. There are many more! Most of all, it is currently a safe way to travel and take a vacation. You don’t have to delay your travel plans anymore!
