Update on Hurricane Helene Recovery

Dear Valued Guests and Friends,

We hope this message finds you safe and well. In the aftermath of Hurricane Helene, our hearts go out to everyone affected by this powerful storm. We are committed to keeping you informed about the status of our properties and the ongoing recovery efforts on Anna Maria Island.

Impact of Hurricane Helene

Hurricane Helene (passed by) the island last week, causing significant damage to several of our properties. While the storm brought widespread challenges, our resilient community is working tirelessly to rebuild and restore our beloved island to its pristine condition. The Island is composed of 3 cities. On the most northern portion is Anna Maria then Holmes Beach and the most southern is Bradenton Beach. Anna Maria and Holmes Beach have open roads, electricity, and water. Bradenton Beach is still working to clear their roads. All of our homes are located in the north (Anna Maria and Holmes Beach).

Progress on Property Repairs

Our management team is on the ground, overseeing all necessary repairs to ensure our properties meet the high standards our guests expect. Here’s an update on the restoration progress:

  • Limefish: Expected to be ready to welcome guests within the next two weeks.
  • Mintfish: Anticipated to be fully operational within six to eight weeks.

For guests with upcoming reservations during the repair period, we are in close contact to provide updates. If we are unable to accommodate your stay due to ongoing repairs, we will offer options to reschedule, subject to availability, or provide a full refund.

Properties Requiring Exterior Cleanup Only

We are pleased to report that several of our properties only required exterior clean-up. These include:

  • Serendipity Gulf
  • Serendipity
  • Waves
  • Bimini Sunrise
  • Shangri-La
  • Sea La Vie

Rest assured, each home is being carefully restored in full to ensure a comfortable and enjoyable stay for our guests.

Clarifying Some Misinformation

A lot of misinformation has been circulating regarding the extent of the damage. We want to assure you that the shops and restaurants on Pine Avenue remain largely intact and are currently undergoing minor clean-ups and repairs. These businesses are expected to reopen within the next 1-2 weeks. The most affected area is the south end, Bradenton Beach, which is temporarily closed to vehicular traffic as crews work diligently to clear the roads. Fortunately, power and water services have been fully restored in Holmes Beach and Anna Maria, allowing essential services to continue operating smoothly.

The Community

The mood here is one of resilience and cooperation as our community comes together to rebuild. Together, we are overcoming the challenges posed by Hurricane Helene and working towards restoring Anna Maria Island’s natural beauty and welcoming atmosphere.
