The Chiefs are defending Super Bowl Champions. They took on and defeated the Eagles in 2023 and they are back again in 2024. This time they want to prove their worth against the San Francisco 49ers. While the beginning of the season was rough for the Chiefs, their resilience set them apart. The Chiefs finished the season with 11 wins and 6 losses. Led by Quarterback Patrick Mahomes and tight end Travis Kelce, it is easy to see why this team is such a fan favorite.

The 49ers (The NFC Champions)

Going into Super Bowl Sunday, the San Fransisco 49ers are favored to win by a small 2-point margin. The 49ers secured their spot for the big day in a surprise comeback against the Detroit Lions, the very same team they lost to in game one of the season. The 49ers are led by a Quarterback in the second year, Brock Purdy. With his record, many might be surprised to hear that Purdy was the last player picked in the NFL draft just a couple of years earlier. The 49ers finished their 2023 season with 12 wins and 5 losses. While this is the 49ers’ 8th appearance in the Super Bowl, it is the first chance they will have since 1994 to taste sweet, sweet victory.

Be on the lookout for the third team sure to storm Allegiant Stadium: The Swifties. It has been no secret that the high-profile pop star Taylor Swift has been dating the Chief’s Travis Kelce. While some NFL fans have been divided on their feelings about Swift’s presence, claiming that she is a distraction to the game, there is no denying her influence in drawing a new crowd of football fans. Swift’s current tour has her performing in Japan just two days before the Super Bowl. Fans are rabidly wondering if they will have a chance to catch a glimpse of her on Game Day. Maybe a surprise performance for the halftime show?

Halftime Performance: Time for the Real Show

Some might argue that the actual event of the evening is the halftime show. This year, R&B legend Usher will be taking the stage. Not only will this Grammy award-winning singer be headling the Super Bowl on February 11th, but he will be releasing his new studio album, Coming Home, on the same day.

For Pre-show entertainment, expect to see Post Malone and Reba McEntire perform “America the Beautiful” and “The Star Spangled Banner,” respectively.
