Restrictions Have Been Lifted for Short Term Vacation Rentals

Serendipity Anna Maria is happy to report that effective May 21st, 2020, restrictions on vacation rentals have been lifted. This means we can once again rent our beautiful homes for less than 30 days.

It is important to note that a few stipulations still apply. First, until further notice, the County is limiting us to a maximum of 10 guests. Additionally, at this time we are allowed to rent to guests coming from areas that have an overall COVID-19 Case Rate of fewer than 700 cases per 100,000 residents. If you’re unsure whether you meet this qualification, don’t hesitate to contact us.

The Manatee County Plan for Opening Short-Term Vacation Rentals was unanimously approved by the Manatee County Board of County Commissioners on May 19th, 2020. It became effective as of May 21st, after being reviewed and approved by Governor Ron DeSantis and the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation.

Cleaning Standards for Reopening

As the health and well being of all of our guests are our top priorities, we are following all of the CDC’s recommendations. The company that does our cleaning and turnovers is licensed, insured, and trained in COVID-19 requirements. 

As part of the cleaning and turnover process, all parts of the bed will be stripped and changed at each turnover.  This includes the mattress pad, sheets, pillowcases, and any other parts of the bedding. The mattresses and box springs are encased in plastic and they will be sanitized at each turnover. Additionally, we have removed all decorative pillows and decor so that the home can be completely sanitized.

In addition to the cleaning company’s process, we also run Ozone machines in each room and a UV light on all surfaces before each guest arrives.  

What to Expect for Checkin Time

Because each home will be cleaned so thoroughly, we’ll need to allow additional time to turn over our properties. In fact, we would appreciate any existing guests helping us adjust to one day between reservations. 

Additionally, for the time being, we will be unable to accommodate early check-ins. Depending on the size of the house, check-in times may need to be adjusted to later than 4 PM. Thank you for your patience and understanding as we prioritize the safety and health of our guests.
