Mother’s Day Restaurant Ideas

May is a busy month for many people, but it’s also the month we slow down to honor our mothers. Mother’s Day is a great time to pamper mom a little bit. One popular way to do that is to take her out to eat. Our island area has a lot of choices for Mother’s Day. Here are a few for you to consider.

Mademoiselle Paris

Mademoiselle Paris has three locations in our area, including one here on Anna Maria Island. This restaurant is both a bakery and bistro and specializes in French cuisine. On Mother’s Day, they are open for their usual Sunday Brunch, but they also have a special Mother’s Day dinner planned. From 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm, they are serving a special 4-course dinner for the holiday. Live music will also be part of the experience. This meal is prepared by their chef and the Anna Maria location will feature Mussels Mariniere as the main course. Mademoiselle Paris is located at 9906 Gulf Drive, Anna Maria, FL 34216. It is suggested you RSVP on their website to ensure you will be seated.

Breakfast at Victoria’s

Located at 5315 Gulf Dr, Holmes Beach, FL 34217, Breakfast at Victoria’s is more than a breakfast spot. The name is a play on one of the owner’s favorite films, Breakfast at Tiffany’s. Victoria’s will be observing Mother’s Day with a special Mother’s Day brunch. Aside from a full menu of breakfast items, the eatery is offering moms a free Mimosa. The restaurant is open from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm on Mother’s Day. They are not able to accept reservations at this time.

Michael’s on East

If you plan to venture off the island, Michael’s on East is in nearby Sarasota. This restaurant is decorated to resemble an elegant 1940s supper club atmosphere and will surely make Mom feel special. For Mother’s Day, Michael’s has a special brunch from 10:30 am to 3:30 pm. The expansive spread features a cold buffet station, a hot buffet station, an omelet & pancake station, a carving station and a dessert bar. The entire menu for this event can be found here. The Feast

There doesn’t have to be a special menu to make Mom feel special. The Feast is a casual fine dining restaurant located at 5406 Marina Drive, Holmes Beach, FL 34217. They serve dinner only, from 3:30 pm to 9:00 pm, seven days a week. Their gourmet menu includes items ranging from shrimp and lobster risotto to Australian Wagyu burgers.
